What do we do?
We are a junior badminton club so fairly obviously we play badminton! In fact we meet at the Manor Leisure Centre in Mansfield Woodhouse every Friday night from 18:00 to 22:00. Our younger players (under 13 and below) are encouraged to attend between 18:00 and 20:00 and our older players attend between 19:30 and 22:00.
Notts Junior Badminton Leagues
We also play in the local Nottinghamshire league against other likeminded clubs where we have enjoyed much sucess over the years. We like to think of ourselves as the team to beat in all age groups. While competitive the local league is very friendly competition and an ideal introduction to competitive sport.
How do we do it?
We take our coaching activities seriously with our club acting as a major feeder to the Nottinghamshire County squad. In fact several of our club coaches also coach the county under 11s and under 13s squads.
Badminton Coaching
In fact the best thing about our club is the coaching that the members receive. Everyone can fit in and learn to play the game and all you really need is to want to learn to play badminton. Over the years our coaching team have coached players who went on to play for England and those players sometimes come back to the club for a visit…
