Volunteer of The Year – Steve

February 8th, 2016

Steve joined the Club as a parent helper about 6 years ago and since has developed into a very efficient and able volunteer coach. With a number of roles he has taken up he is very dedicated to the sport and at 67 years of age still plays socially.

Steve has been our treasurer for a number of years and also our match secretary. He is now also the Nottinghamshire Junior Badminton leagues secretary. Both these roles involve a very high level of organisation, planning and communication. He does very well and puts in many hours every week to ensure the tasks and information are carried out.
Steve has also taken on the challenge of managing our shirt sales and stock control too, again this is a very demanding role and needs great attention to detail.
In all the time I have known him he never complains about any of the roles or tasks and gets on with them with a lovely smile.
