Mansfield Junior Badminton Club

We are a Junior Badminton club based at the Manor Sports Centre in Mansfield Woodhouse, and play on Friday nights 6pm to 10pm. We help 7 – 17 year old junior players to develop and gain an interest in the sport of badminton, and to encourage them to achieve their full potential. Indeed, most have reached league standard, a good proportion have also worked hard to reach county squad standard and a few have achieved national squad level and represented England in the past.

Junior badminton in Mansfield

The majority of youngsters live within the Mansfield District. We raise funds towards hall hire costs and cost of shuttles from weekly subscriptions. The club since its start has helped youngsters to engage in sport and provide them with a healthy interest. Many of our ‘old players’ come back to help and assist the coaches at the club.

We have club shirts designed and developed by players. This gives them identity of belonging to one of the most successful junior badminton clubs in Nottinghamshire. They wear this with pride when representing the club at league matches or individual tournaments.

The Club aims to inspire the youngsters by raising self esteem and aspiration levels which can benefit the youngsters not only in badminton but also in their lives generally.
