Under 13s v Worksop Result

It was the turn of the under 13’s to kick off their campaign for the Nottingham Junior Badminton League Title.  On Friday 13th November they travelled to Worksop to play their first match of the season.  The youngsters came up against some tough competition from the Worksop Falcons, but managed to edge in front with some very good performances from all the team.  Mansfield proved to be too strong for Worksop and they won the match 11 games to 4, claiming 3 points for their efforts.

Boys Singles: William  lost 19 – 21.  Adam  won 21 – 5.  Jacob won 21 – 6.  Sam  won 21 – 17.

Girls Singles: Amber  won 21 – 18.  Hannah  lost 2 – 21.

Boys Doubles: William & Adam won both their games 21 – 15 and 21 – 10.  Jacob & Sam also won both their games 21 – 18 and 21 – 11.

Girls Doubles: Amber & Hannah lost their game 12 – 21.

Mixed Doubles: William & Amber won 21 – 14.  Adam & Hannah won 21 – 12.   Jacob & Amber won 21 – 6 and Sam & Hannah lost 23 – 25.

I have played badminton for 40 years and work in energy efficiency, mainly in schools. I am Chair of Governors at Flying High Academy Ladybrook, so have experience of Safeguarding to a high standard.
